Pastor's Word

Hello and God bless you for taking the time to visit our web site. By virtue of you reading this, it says that you have experienced another Sunrise.  I trust that in this experience you have a Renewed Hope and are expecting Great Possibilities. Be mindful that it’s not by chance nor coincidence that Our Heavenly Father deemed you worthy to see another day.

When you feel like all Hope is gone. Look up! When you feel like you are in a pit. Look up!

The Sun HAS come up.

The Psalmist wrote:

1 I lift up my eyes to the hills -- where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip -- he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD watches over you -- the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm -- he will watch over your life;

8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.                                                                              (Psalms 121 NIV)

Sunrise Church of God exists to encourage you to have hope. I want to remind you that God has not forgotten you. The question becomes, “Did you forget God?” We have been so conditioned by this world we live in that we forget that God loves us and wants the best for us.

God knows your bills are piling high. God sees the job layoffs. God feels your sorrow when your child has gone astray. God understands the frustration of your marriage going down the drain. God is saying, “I’m still here, my child”. He is saying, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”. That rest is the renewed hope, knowing that the world will not beat you down.

Renewed Hope is only the beginning! The old expression - - The Sky is the Limit - - are those Great Possibilities. Lets look up and see what can be accomplished. Bills are not only paid, but you have an abundance to share. You don’t worry about job layoffs because now you own your own business. Your children now see the error of their ways and are now at the top of their class or profession. You and your spouse have reconciled and are now working together like a well-oiled machine, and yet this is still the beginning of Great Possibilities.

I accepted this mission that God gave me because I saw the great possibilities that were there. I saw the opportunity to have a positive impact on people’s lives. I saw where I could help others catch this same vision and that the renewed hope of the love of God would catch on like wildfire. My present mission is not to impact the whole world, but make a difference in the corner of the Earth that God has placed me in and praise Him for the ripple affect.

I encourage you to renew your hope and work toward those great possibilities.
